TIME REQUIRED: 5 MINUTES

YOU WILL NEED:

  • All relevant candidate details to already be in your eBoss database.

  • A script/template as to how you would like to request permission via email or sms.

  • A rough idea of your permission request plan if multiple attempts will be required.

STEP 1: ENABLE GDPR TOOLS

1.1) Navigate to your user profile  in the top right, hover over your name and select settings from the menu options.

1.2) Once on the settings page, make sure the option for GDPR in the top right is turned on.

1.3) Scroll to the bottom and hit save.

STEP 2: REQUEST PERMISSION FROM A CANDIDATE

2.1) In either grid or list view, navigate to the candidate you would like to send the reminder to and hover over and click the GDPR icon.

2.2) A popup will appear allowing you to choose a contact method, in this example, select SMS, enter the message and scroll down to hit submit.

2.3) The communicate is sent to the client and recorded in their communication notes.

STEP 3: RECEIVE PERMISSION RESPONSES

3.1) When your candidate receives communication from you regarding GDPR compliance, they will have the option to visit a link and either grant or deny permission.

3.2) The permissions page is a public facing part of your system that, once interacted with, updates your database automatically.

3.3) If a client has denied permission, the GDPR icon will be shown in red. If permission has been granted, the GDPR icon will be shown in green.

STEP 4: REVIEW PERMISSION STATISTICS

Navigate to your dashboard and expand the GDPR widget. This widget shows statistics for GDPR on all consultants in your database. If you are having trouble attaining permission, you may wish to consider our pro GDPR tools to enable bulk requests and multiple attempt formats.
